Selby Pulse Radio
The heartbeat of Selby ❤️📻
Selby Pulse Radio is an independent online community radio station serving Selby and the surrounding areas, including Eggborough, Goole and the wider local community.
We are committed to providing entertaining, inclusive and locally focused radio, while giving local people, community groups, young people, businesses and creatives opportunities to have their voices heard.
Our status
Selby Pulse Radio is an online-only radio station and is not currently licensed by Ofcom as a licensed community radio service.
Although we are not required to publish a statutory community radio public file, we choose to publish this information voluntarily and aim to work to standards comparable with those expected of a responsible community broadcaster.
We believe transparency matters — particularly to our listeners, community partners, guests and local advertisers.

Outside live programming hours, the station may use automated playout to maintain a continuous service.
Our programme schedule is kept up to date on our website and social media channels.
We aim to be transparent with listeners about how our service operates rather than presenting automated output as live broadcasting.
News and information
Selby Pulse Radio is primarily a music and community station rather than a dedicated news service.
We provide local information, announcements, interviews and community updates as part of our programming.
Where news or factual information is included, presenters are expected to take reasonable care to ensure information is accurate and appropriately sourced.
We do not claim to provide a continuous rolling news service.
Community involvement
We want Selby Pulse Radio to be more than something people simply listen to.
We aim to provide opportunities for local people to:
Get involved in radio
Learn broadcasting and production skills
Develop confidence

Support local events
Discover local music and creatives
We are particularly interested in creating opportunities for young people and developing a wider creative media and community broadcasting hub in Selby.
Advertising and sponsorship
We work with local businesses through advertising and sponsorship opportunities.
We aim to make commercial relationships clear to listeners and ensure that sponsored content is distinguishable from ordinary editorial programming.
Our advertising and sponsorship activity helps support the ongoing running costs of the station, including broadcasting, music licensing, premises and equipment.
